Believe it or not, the hotel we stayed at in Switzerland was named Hotel Heidi.
And guess what? I’m Heidi too, no stage name, just a remarkable coincidence!
That’s when hotels became my creative heaven.
I vividly remember bringing my entire collection of stuffed animals.
Our housekeeper arranged the animals on my bed with immense care and love every day.
I told my mother I wanted to meet the person making my bed.
One day, we met her on the floor. “Are you the bed magician?” I asked, she smiled “Yes.”
That moment sparked a lifelong friendship.
Rosa, the housekeeper, became family to me, never missing a Christmas or birthday in 34 years,
caring for me as her own.
What started in a hotel with a simple gesture grew into a lifelong relationship.
I truly saw her, and she truly saw me.
This December, 34 years later, she departed for good.
Rosa taught me the heart of hospitality.
From a hotel room to a lasting connection, her care and love defined genuine depth.
Her departure leaves a void, yet her legacy persists, reminding me that hospitality is all about
heartfelt connections lasting a lifetime.
That’s not just the spirit of this special holiday season—it’s a feeling to carry year-round.
The most meaningful things don’t cost extra; they’re wrapped in an extra dose of love and care.
Wishing you a joy-filled holiday season!
